Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains what BeaconBeam collects, how it is used, and who else touches it.

What we collect

Account details you give us (email, name, and the identity from any sign-in provider you use); the feed and episode content you create; and usage records — such as how many characters you have narrated — needed to operate billing and generation.

How your content is processed

To produce audio, the text of your episodes is sent to a third-party AI voice provider, which converts it to speech and returns the audio file. Generated audio is kept with a third-party storage provider so it can be delivered to podcast apps.

Feeds and episodes you publish are public by design: an RSS feed is served at a public address so podcast apps can fetch it, and the audio files it points to are publicly reachable. Treat anything you publish as visible to anyone with the link.

Payments

Payments are handled by our payment processor. Card details are entered on their systems — we never receive or store full card numbers. We keep a reference to your customer record and your subscription status so the app knows what you have access to.

Who else is involved

Besides the AI voice, storage, and payment providers above, we use third-party hosting and database providers to run the service. They process data only to provide those functions to us.

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication and session management — keeping you signed in. We do not use them for advertising.

Retention, access, and deletion

We keep your account and content while your account is open, and billing records for as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes. To request a copy of your data or its deletion, email support@beaconbeam.net and we will handle it.

What we don't do

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
